Community Spirit Race
The Community Spirit Race is an athletic event held at the Florida Atlantic University Football Stadium, also known as the Flagler Credit Union Stadium, in Boca Raton, Florida. The event provides a platform for participants to support various nonprofit organizations while engaging in physical activity. The primary distances offered include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
- Virtual 5K
The 5K course is certified and uses Accuchip timing for results. Awards are presented to the top three overall finishers, top masters in both male and female categories, and the top three finishers in five-year age groups ranging from 10 and under to 80 and over.
Participants receive an event t-shirt, a bib, and a finisher medal. For those opting for the Virtual 5K, these items are mailed directly to the registrant. The event grounds feature a nonprofit and vendor expo, music, and a breakfast. Specific areas for families include a Kids Zone and a Kids Fun Run.
The venue offers ample free parking for attendees. This year, the race is accessible for individuals with visual and mobility impairments. While standard wheelchairs are permitted on the course, handcycles and racing chairs are not accommodated.
