Event Overview
The Colonial Beach Triathlon takes place in the riverside town of Colonial Beach, Virginia. The event is scheduled for June 28, 2026. It offers two main triathlon distances, each with individual, aquabike, and relay team options.

- Colonial Beach Olympic Triathlon Relay: A team event for 2 or 3 people covering the Olympic distances.
- Colonial Beach Sprint Triathlon (Individual): A 750m swim, a 14mi bike, and a 5k run.
- Colonial Beach Sprint Aquabike (Individual): A 750m swim and a 14mi bike.
- Colonial Beach Sprint Triathlon Relay: A team event for 2 or 3 people covering the Sprint distances.
All events are open to participants aged 12 and over.
Course Details
The swim takes place in the Potomac River. The bike course features views of seaside and farmland on paved roads. The run is described as a flat, paved, waterfront course.
Additional Information
The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Registration includes a finisher medal, an event tech shirt, custom race socks, a packet pickup reusable bag, timed results, age group awards, a post-race meal, a finisher certificate, and free finish line photos.
