Distances offered:
- Olympic: 1.5k swim, 26 mi bike, 10k run
- Olympic Aquabike: 1.5k swim, 26 mi bike
- Olympic Relay: same distances as Olympic for team entry
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 14 mi bike, 5k run
- Sprint Aquabike: 750 m swim, 14 mi bike
- Sprint Relay: same distances as Sprint for team entry
The swim takes place in the Potomac River. The bike course uses paved roads with seaside and farmland scenery. The run is a flat, paved waterfront route. Swim starts use a time trial format with two athletes starting every few seconds; an Elite Box Start allows selected athletes to start first. Registration includes a finisher medal, long sleeved tech shirt, custom race socks, packet pickup reusable bag, timed race results, age group awards, post race meal, finisher certificate, and free finish line photos.
