Event overview
The Shamrock 5K Run/Walk takes place in Bel Alton, Maryland on Sunday, March 15, 2026. The program includes a youth Lil' Leprechaun run for ages 10 and under followed by a 5K Run/Walk. The event is the 11th annual running of the Shamrock 5K, presented with Coal Road Fitness. Awards will be given for top finishers in each age group and for the best St. Patrick's Day costume. Registered participants receive a post-race buffet ticket at Ape Hangers Bar & Grill. Participants receive a t-shirt if registered by 2/28.

Logistics and beneficiary
The race start and finish are at the Bel Alton Fire Department, a short walk from Ape Hangers Bar & Grill. Race packets may be picked up at Ape Hangers on the weekend before and on race day. Parking is organized from Ape Hangers, with additional parking directed to the Bel Alton Fire Department field; participants are asked not to park in the fire department lot. The beneficiary for this year is Clements Cuties, which supports local families affected by childhood cancers in Southern Maryland. Event-listed registration prices are shown for each event.
