Colon Screening for Life 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk
Colon Screening for Life, Inc. organizes a community running and walking event on June 6, 2026, in downtown Evansville at Old National Bank, One North Main Street. The event marks the organization's 20th year and focuses on raising awareness about colorectal cancer and the importance of early detection.
The event program includes multiple distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Walk
- Kids Dash for children 11 years and under
Entry information is published for participants: the 5K and 1 Mile Walk fee is $25 for those older than five years, and the Kids Dash fee is $5. Race day registration is allowed for a higher fee. Entry includes a Race Bag and a T-Shirt for registrations within the first 500 participants; shirts must be picked up during scheduled packet pick-up days or on event day. Registrations are transferrable for a fee and refunds are not available. Several discounts are listed, including reduced rates for seniors age 55 and over, veterans, and fire and police personnel, along with group and corporate options. Only one discount applies per registration.
Awards are planned for top overall male and female finishers and for top finishers in multiple age groups. Race timing is provided with live online results, live text and email notifications, and a QR code on each bib.
