Colon Screening for Life 2026
The Colon Screening for Life event is held in downtown Evansville, Indiana, starting at the Old National Bank on Main Street. This annual gathering marks 20 years of promoting awareness for colorectal cancer and the importance of early detection through physical activity and community fundraising.
The event offers several participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Walk
- Kids Dash (for children aged 11 and under)
The 5K course begins in front of Old National Bank and utilizes professional timing services. Participants in the 5K and 1 Mile Walk receive a race bag and a T-shirt, which are guaranteed for the first 500 registrants. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, with gift cards provided to these winners. Additionally, medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in 13 separate age categories, ranging from 15 and under to 70 and over.
Participants can access the Old National Bank parking garage via the Locust Street entrance, as the Main Street entrance remains closed for the event. Late registration and packet pick-up are available both on the day before the race and on the morning of the event. The race takes place rain or shine, and registrations are transferable for a fee.
