Cold Turkey Run - Salt Lake City
The Cold Turkey Run is organized by SportsAmEvents in Salt Lake City and includes a family friendly set of distances and awards. The event offers separate options for general participants and children and runs near the State Capitol and Memory Grove.
- 6K: course starts northeast of the State Capitol and finishes at Memory Grove.
- Kids 1K: start and finish at Bonneville Blvd northeast of the State Capitol.
Entry fees are specified by distance: the 6K entry fee is $35 and the Kids 1K fee is $15. Registration increases to $38 on Nov. 10. If a participant declines a shirt, the entry fee is reduced by $5. Shirts ordered after 11/18/2026 are available for pickup at Salt Lake Running Co. at 700 East between 12/05/26 and 12/10/26. Packet pickup is held at Salt Lake Running Co., 700 E. 2454 S. on Nov. 24. Parking is available at the State Capitol.
Awards are given through third place for male and female divisions across multiple age groups including 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+. Strollers and walkers receive 1st through 3rd awards. All children receive finish awards.
