Cold Turkey Run - Salt Lake City
The Cold Turkey Run is a community road event organized by SportsAmEvents in Salt Lake City. The event features two distances:
- 6K for runners, walkers, and strollers
- Kids 1K
The 6K entry fee is listed at $35 with registration increasing to $38 on November 10; the kids fee is $15. Participants who opt out of a shirt receive a $5 reduction in the entry fee. Packet pickup is handled at Salt Lake Running Co., 700 East, and parking is available at the State Capitol.
Start locations are northeast of the State Capitol on Bonneville Boulevard, and the course finishes at Memory Grove. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers across multiple age divisions from 10 and under through 80 plus. Strollers and walkers receive first through third awards, and all children receive finish awards.
The event includes on-site family features such as a kids entertainer named Jub Jub the clown and offers event commemoratives including a lifetime medal and event pins. If a participant does not yet have a medal, one will be provided at a subsequent SportsAmEvents event along with a commemorative pin.
