Thanksgiving Day - South Davis Race Series
The South Davis Thanksgiving Day races take place in Bountiful, Utah on November 26, 2026. The event includes three distances: a 10K, a 5K, and a 1K for youth and families.
Packet pick-up is available the night before at the South Davis Recreation Center and the morning of the race in the Bountiful Junior High gym attached to the recreation center at 550 North 200 West, Bountiful, Utah 84010. Facility parking is available; offsite parking is provided at a nearby elementary school and on-street parking is allowed in many nearby areas.
Course details:
- 10K route starts at the front of the recreation facility, proceeds north on 200 West to Pages Lane, then continues west; two aid stations are on course. Racers line up in groups of ten for a staggered start and chip timing begins when a participant crosses the start line. Participants are asked to stay on sidewalks or in the bike lane when possible.
- 5K uses the race series 5K course with mostly right-hand turns and one aid station about halfway at Porter Lane and Main Street. Facemasks are required at packet pick-up and while lining up; masks may be removed after crossing the start line. Roads are not closed for the races.
- 1K starts and finishes in the parking lot behind the facility, follows a short loop around the building, and is marked with signage and chalk. Children under five should be accompanied by an adult; children five and older should wear a mask while lining up.
Participant items and awards include a long sleeve gender-specific technical shirt, a finisher medal, a custom race bib, post-race drinks and snacks, and sponsor swag. Awards are given to top finishers overall and the top three in each age division for all distances, with additional youth divisions for the 1K and weight classes for Athena and Clydesdale in the 5K and 10K. Awards can be picked up after the event or mailed upon request.
Registration closes on the Monday before the race at 11:59 PM MST. Chip timing is used for results and participants must wear their bib on the front outer layer for accurate results and award eligibility. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
