Thanksgiving Day Races - South Davis Race Series
The South Davis Race Series holds Thanksgiving Day races in Bountiful, Utah on November 26, 2026. The event program includes three distances: Turkey 10K, Family 5K, and Gobbler 1K.
Packet pick up is available the night before at the South Davis Recreation Center and the morning of the race at the Bountiful Junior High gym attached to the recreation center at 550 North 200 West, Bountiful, Utah. Offsite parking is available at a nearby elementary school and on nearby streets; the facility parking lot is the primary parking area.
Course details: the 10K starts at the front of the recreation facility, follows 200 West north to Pages Lane, and features two aid stations. The 5K uses a primarily right-turn, mostly flat course with one aid station at the midpoint on Porter Lane and Main Street. The 1K runs around the facility and finishes in the facility parking lot. Runners are asked to stay on sidewalks or in the bike lane when possible and to use caution on open roads.
Timing and awards: all races use chip timing with bib-mounted chips. Awards are given to top finishers overall and by age division, and participant items include a long sleeve technical shirt, a unique finisher medal, a custom bib, post-race drinks and snacks, and sponsor swag.
Other notes: facemasks are required at packet pick up and while lining up to start. Young children in the 1K should be accompanied by an adult. Wheelchairs, leashed pets, and strollers are permitted with start line placement rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
