Event overview
The Cochrane Wild Rose Indoor Spring Triathlon takes place on March 15, 2026, at Spray Lake Sawmills Centre in Cochrane, Alberta. The event is organized by Wild Rose Women's Events and accepts participants from first-time triathletes to experienced triathletes. Registration is organized by heat; each heat shows remaining spots and fees. Prices vary by registration period, from about $72.10 to $99.03.
Race format and logistics
The event is divided into three timed segments: a 10-minute pool swim, a 20-minute stationary bike session, and a 15-minute walk or run on the indoor track. Participants are assigned to heats and will be sorted by pace within their heat on race day. Arrival procedures include check-in, body marking, and meeting a group leader; participants are asked to arrive 30 minutes before their heat.
Swim lanes are organized with up to four swimmers per lane, swimming counter-clockwise; passing is done by tapping toes and passing at the end of the lane. Transition windows are timed - 15 minutes to change from swim to bike and a short 5-minute walk from the spin room to the track before the run. The run marshal announces the last lap at 13 minutes. Lifeguards and volunteers are present. Post-race items include a finisher's bracelet or Mala and Jugo Juice. Spectators may view the swim from the stands; spin rooms and the track have limited spectator access. Recommended gear includes a towel (mandatory), swimsuit or trisuit, goggles, the provided swim cap, running shoes, and any necessary medications.
