Cochrane Wild Rose Indoor Spring Triathlon
The event is an indoor triathlon on March 15, 2026 at Spray Lake Sawmills Centre, Griffin Road East, Cochrane, AB, Canada. It is organized by Wild Rose Women's Events and is open to participants of all levels. The event is divided into multiple heats and has 110 spots remaining.
Format
- 10 minutes swim in the pool, any stroke; swimmers are organized four per lane.
- 20 minutes stationary bike spin led by an instructor; spin bikes accept SPD pedals.
- 15 minutes walk or run on the indoor track; "last lap" is announced at 13 minutes.
Participants are sorted by pace within their chosen heat on race day. Transition times are scheduled: 15 minutes from swim to bike and 5 minutes from bike to run. Lanes are swum counter-clockwise; passing is done at the end of the lane. Lifeguards and volunteers are present in the pool area.
Logistics and gear
Participants should arrive about 30 minutes before their heat for check-in and body marking. Each heat is led by a group leader who stays with the group throughout the event. Finishers receive a bracelet or mala and a Jugo Juice. Spectators may watch the swim but are not allowed in the spin room or on the track. Recommended items include a towel (mandatory), swimsuit or trisuit, goggles, swim cap (provided), running shoes, water bottle, and any needed medication.
