Event overview
The Powderface Mountain Marathon is a trail running event at Station Flats, Kananaskis on June 27, 2026. Mandatory gear that all runners must carry includes a hydration pack, jacket, gloves, and a BUFF to cover the ears. Suggested equipment includes snacks/fuel, trail shoes, hiking poles, and bear spray. Aid stations will provide water, an electrolyte drink (Blonyx Hydra+), cola, fruit, pretzels, chips, and Xact Nutrition Fruit Bars. Washrooms are located in the parking lot at the start/finish. Parking at Station Flats is limited. Drop bags can be placed at aid stations if labeled with the runner name and chosen checkpoint. Cut-off rules apply at aid stations for marathon runners; runners who do not meet cut-offs may be held and transported from the aid station. All finishers receive a finisher’s medal; prizes are awarded to the top three in each gender for each distance. Spectators are welcome, with best viewing at the start/finish area.
