The 5K Foam Fest - Cochrane, AB
The event is a 5 km obstacle course fun run held at the Cochrane & District Agricultural Society on Bow Valley Trail in Cochrane, Alberta on June 27, 2026. The format combines an obstacle course and a festival area that is open to spectators.
The course features more than 25 optional obstacles, mud pits and about 2.5 million cubic feet of foam. An inflatable waterslide and other inflatables are part of the setup. Participants may walk or run the course and choose which obstacles to attempt.
Age rules state participants must be at least 7 years old to run. Children aged 7 to 12 must run with a registered adult; those aged 13 to 17 do not require an adult chaperone but must follow event rules. Children 6 and under cannot run the main course but may access a free Kids FUN Zone with a mini inflatable obstacle course and bounce house under adult supervision. Legal guardian signatures are required on waivers for participants under 18.
Individual registration includes items and services such as a string bag, buff, finisher's medal, Foam Fest tattoo, water stations, shower station, change room access, festival area access, free kids zone and free event photos. Entries are non refundable; transfer options are available. Spectators have free access to the festival area, vendors and the beer garden.
