Coatesville VA Strides to Prevent Suicide 5K Run/Walk
Coatesville VA Strides to Prevent Suicide is a community 5K run/walk held at the Coatesville VA Medical Center, Lot D, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320. The event raises awareness for veteran suicide prevention and directs proceeds to support suicide prevention efforts for Veterans receiving care at the medical center.
Registration opens April 29, 2026 and closes August 25, 2026. Regular civilian registration is listed at $35; late civilian registration is listed at $40 and same-day registration is accepted. Entry is free for veterans and active duty service members. Late registrants may not be guaranteed a T-shirt in the requested size. T-shirt sizes available include S, M, L, XL, 2X, and 3X.
The course takes place on campus and uses street surfaces. Amenities include refreshments, water stations, participant medals, and T-shirts. The event will be professionally timed by Bryn Mawr Racing Co.; official results will be posted by the timing company.
Awards are given by gender and age-group categories, including first place male and female and top runners in age brackets from 14 and under up to 80 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
