The Honey Brook Sweetwater Run is set for Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Narvon, PA at the Lanchester Landfill and Reclamation Center (LLARC), 7224 Division Highway, Narvon, PA 17555. The event includes the following distances:
- 5k Run/Walk
- Kids 1 Mile Fun Run
The 5k has a registration fee of $30 up until Labor Day and $40 from the Tuesday after Labor Day through race day. The kids 1 mile is free. Registration opened April 3, 2026. T-shirts are guaranteed for sign-ups through Labor Day. Each event listed 200 spots available at the time of the posting.
Course, awards and purpose
The course runs on gravel roads, wooded trails, grassy paths, and sections of the Lanchester Nature Trail. The start elevation at the facility entrance is 875 ft. Two major climbs are described: a first climb from about 919 ft to 1,056 ft, and a final ascent from about 1,020 ft to 1,156 ft that reaches an eastern overlook. After the overlook the course doubles back with a mostly downhill finish. The kids 1 mile is described as a mostly flat incline.
All child participants receive a participation ribbon. First place overall male and female 5k finishers receive medals, and medals are awarded to the top male and female finishers in each age group. Race proceeds support local non-profit groups that provide food and emergency support services in the Honey Brook area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
