About the race
CVIM presents the 3rd Annual Dr. Mary's Legacy 5K Run & Family Walk on September 12, 2026 at West Goshen Community Park in West Chester, PA. The event brings the community together to raise funds for Community Volunteers in Medicine while honoring the memory of a long-time CVIM medical director.
Event options include the following distances:
- 5K
- Kids Fun Run (short-distance)
Registration details from the source indicate that general registration opens April 28, 2026 and closes September 8, 2026; kids registration opens June 24, 2026 and closes September 12, 2026. Registration fees listed are $35.00 for the 5K and the family walk and $5.00 for the Kids Fun Run.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three overall runners and top male and female runners in each age group: 1-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-99. Additional awards include Best Costume, Largest Team, and Highest Fundraising Team. Proceeds will support CVIM’s free, comprehensive health care for uninsured working people with low incomes in the Chester County region. All event costs will be covered for CVIM by an anonymous friend.
