COACH ARCHIE DURAN MEMORIAL 5K RUN & 1 MILE FUN WALK
The event takes place on April 12, 2026, at Nations Tobin Park, 8831 Railroad Dr., El Paso, TX 79904. It is presented as the seventh annual Walk/Run to honor the life and legacy of Coach Archie Durán.
The event includes the following distances:

- 1 Mile Fun Walk
All proceeds benefit the Coach Archie Durán Memorial Fund, a non-profit established to provide scholarships to El Paso area students and to fund school supplies for teachers. The event offers a T-shirt to every participant; the first 200 registrants receive a finisher medal and additional swag. Registration fees are listed with an early rate of $25 through February 28, 2026, and $30 afterward; team registration is $30 per team member. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Awards for the 5K include a trophy for the overall male and female winners and medals for the top three finishers in male and female age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Hoppy Monk, 4141 N Mesa St, with race-day pickup and registration available at the start line.
