Event Overview

The Eight for Eddie event takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026. It is held at Mesita Elementary School, located at 3307 N Stanton in El Paso, Texas.

8K run
2K fun walk

Registration and Costs

Registration costs $35 through April 16, 2026. After that date, late registration is available on April 17 and 18 for $40. Everyone who registers by April 8 receives a free technical T-shirt.

Awards

In the 8K run, trophies are awarded to the top three male and female winners overall. Age group medals are also awarded to the top three finishers in each of the following categories:

9 and under
10-14
15-19
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60-69
70 and over

Packet Pickup

Participants can pick up their race packets early on April 17 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Up and Running, located at 3233 N Mesa. Packet pickup is also available on race day at Mesita Elementary from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM.

Purpose

The event's proceeds benefit a memorial fund set up through the El Paso Community Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
