Event Overview

The Clowbridge 5k is a trail running event held on a 5 km route. It is the second of three races in a Spring Series, with the series taking place on consecutive Thursdays: 16th, 23rd, and 30th April.

The Route

The course follows a popular trail off the Pennine Bridleway. It consists of 2 laps of the trail path around Clowbridge Reservoir, run anti-clockwise. The total elevation gain is 25m. The event starts from the Rossendale Valley Sailing Club on Manchester Road in Burnley.

Practical Information

The event is open to participants aged 11 and over. The start location is BB11 5PF. Parking is suggested in the local area, including a lower car park at the Sailing Club and Limey Lane at the far end of the Reservoir. The event is licensed under ARC pending.
