Clowbridge 5k - Spring 3/3
The Clowbridge 5k is a trail race scheduled for 30 April 2026 and is the third race in a three race spring series held on consecutive Thursdays on 16, 23 and 30 April. The event is organised by Run JMC and is part of a small series with prizes awarded in each race.
The course is a trail route off the Pennine Bridleway that uses two laps of the path around Clowbridge Reservoir, run anti-clockwise from the Rossendale Valley Sailing Club on Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 5PF. The distance is 5 km with approximately 25 m of elevation gain over the course. The event is open to participants aged 11 and over and is described as well marshalled.
Entries are managed through the SiEntries system; entry fees are stated at £6.50 and entries are shown as open from 1 January 2026 with a closing date of 29 April 2026. Parking guidance notes a lower car park at the Sailing Club and Limey Lane at the far end of the reservoir. Monies from the series will be donated to local causes.
