About the race
Uptown Hounds takes place on November 14, 2026, in Shelby, North Carolina, at 105 West Warren Street. The event stages runs through the streets of Shelby to raise funds for animals without a voice. Funds raised will go to Clifford's Army Rescue, an all-volunteer 501c3 nonprofit rescue. The 5K course is described as mostly flat.
The event program includes a timed 5K and a fun run. Registration opens August 18, 2026 and closes November 13, 2026. Fees listed by the organizer are $25.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the fun run. Shirts are guaranteed for registrants who register by November 3; extra shirts may be available but specific sizes are not guaranteed. Early packet pick up is available at RollOver Pets on November 13 and again on race morning.
