Event overview
The Beast of the East 100 is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025 in Kings Mountain, North Carolina (130 Camp Rotary Rd). The event offers multiple trail race distances that run on the Crowders Mountain trail system and include summit sections of both peaks.

Course and race logistics
All courses start and finish at the Crowders Ridge start/finish area and use a loop of park trails including Tower, Rocktop, Crowders, Pinnacle, Turnback, Ridgeline, Fern, and access points near Wolf's Den, 161 Aid Station, and Boulders Access. Longer distances repeat the loop multiple times; the published total distances are 101 miles for the 100 Miler, 67.35 miles for the 100K, 53.79 miles for the 50 Miler, marathon distance for the Marathon, and half marathon distance for the Half Marathon.

There are four aid stations on course: Crowders Ridge, Wolf Base, the 161 Aid Station, and Boulders Access. Aid station food includes pickles wrapped in bacon, cereal, gummies, pretzels, candy, fruit, and some hot options. Drinks include Tailwind, water, and sodas. Trekking poles are allowed. Pacers are permitted for the 100K and 100 Miler after 50 miles. Time cutoffs apply by distance (for example, the 100 Miler has a 34-hour cutoff).
