Event Details
The Hearts for Missions 5K takes place in Kings Mountain, North Carolina on February 14, 2026. The event is organized on behalf of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church’s Missions Group. Participants can choose from two participation options: a 5K run/walk, and a “Supporter” virtual registration that does not require in-person attendance.
Course and Logistics
The 5K course is described as fast and flat. It starts and finishes at Chestnut Ridge Church, located at 618 Chestnut Ridge Church Road. The event will be professionally timed by Finish Well Timing, who are donating their services. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall and within the following age categories: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
Purpose and Charity
The proceeds from the event are dedicated to several charitable missions. These include supporting the Cleveland County Rescue Mission, relief efforts in the Asheville, NC area impacted by Hurricane Helene, and several missions in Guatemala, such as the Innovating Dreamers School and an orphanage for disabled children.
