Event

Hearts For Missions 5K takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Chestnut Ridge Church, 618 Chestnut Ridge Church Road, Kings Mountain, NC 28086. The event offers two entry options: 5K and a Hearts for Missions “Supporter” (in HEART, not in person). Entry fee for each option is $20. The 5K fee increases after February 13, 2026. Registration for the Supporter option ends February 14, 2026 at 11:59pm EST. The 5K will be professionally timed by Finish Well Timing, whose services are being donated.

Purpose and awards

The 5K is held on behalf of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church’s Missions Group. Proceeds will support local and international missions, including the Cleveland County Rescue Mission; relief efforts in and around Asheville, NC affected by Hurricane Helene; and Guatemala missions that support Colegio Innovando Sonadores, Casa De Dios, and Hogar Gloria De Dios. Funds will also support the event called Christmas at the Ridge.

Unique handmade awards will be given. Award structure includes Top 3 male and female overall and Top 3 male and female in these age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Sponsors listed include Parsons Insurance Group and Newton’s Karate; Finish Well Timing and Acorn Prints are listed as in-kind contributors.
