CleftStrong 5K and Kids 1K
CleftStrong is an annual community race held Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Eisenhower Park in San Antonio, TX, with a virtual option for participants racing from other locations. The event is organized by a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit and raises funds to support the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA) and LEAP Global Missions.
Race options include:
- 5K Run/Walk timed and untimed; individual and team entries
- Kids 1K ages 4–12; parents may accompany for support
- Virtual Race complete distance anywhere; race kit mailed to participants
All finishers receive a commemorative finisher medal. Race shirts and specific race kit items are guaranteed for participants who register by August 21. Registration for the San Antonio event remains open through September 30 while space and race items are available; virtual registration deadlines differ and close earlier.
The event includes age-group awards, overall trophies, top pup awards, and special recognitions for teams that raise funds through the Kickstart Confidence 25 Challenge. Fundraising proceeds designated to the Kickstart Confidence challenge support LEAP Global Missions; race registration proceeds support ACPA. A new Pup Division welcomes leashed, well-behaved dogs at no additional cost, with an optional Pup Division Award Challenge for competing pets.
