CleftStrong 5K and Confidence Classic Kids 1K
The CleftStrong event is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) community race held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Eisenhower Park in San Antonio, Texas, with a virtual participation option. The event offers in-person and virtual ways to complete the distance and connects fundraising with clinical and surgical support for children affected by cleft and craniofacial conditions.
Race options include:
- 5K Run/Walk (timed or untimed)
- Kids 1K (ages 4–12; official timed results and awards for eligible children)
All finishers receive a commemorative medal. The San Antonio 5K and eligible Kids 1K participants receive official timed results and age-group awards; overall top participants in the 5K and Kids 1K receive trophies. Additional recognitions include parent and child duo costume awards, top in-person and virtual fundraising team awards, largest team awards, and Top 3 Pup Awards.
A Pup Division welcomes leashed, well-behaved dogs at no additional cost; an optional $5 Pup Division Award Challenge makes a dog eligible for awards and uses the registered adult’s official chip time. Race registration proceeds support the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA), and participant fundraising through the Kickstart Confidence 25 Challenge supports LEAP Global Missions for cleft surgeries and care around the world.
