The Classic at Mastick
The Classic at Mastick is an annual community running event held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the South Mastick Picnic Area in Fairview Park, Ohio. The event is organized as a multi-race program and supports a scholarship fund for high school seniors; since 1992 the event has raised over $294,000 for scholarship awards.
Races held at the event include:
- 2 Mile Run open to ages 14 and under
- Men's 5K
- Women's 5K
Packet pick up is offered in advance at Second Sole in Lakewood and on site at the South Mastick Picnic Area pavilion on race day. The 2 Mile Run combines boys and girls and has a reduced entry fee for young runners with an optional race shirt available for purchase; proceeds from youth entries support the scholarship program.
Participant amenities listed for the event include a soft-fit shirt (entries after August 1 may receive shirts later), ASICS giveaways, chip timing for the 5K races, overall and age-group awards, and pre- and post-race activities. Scholarship nominations may be submitted in writing to Second Sole Lakewood or to the event organizer. A course map and additional event information are provided by the organizer.
