Event overview
The Run for Rainbow: 5k and Walk takes place on August 15, 2026 at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, 3900 Wildlife Way, Cleveland, OH. The event raises money and awareness for University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital through the Foundation's Associate Board. Strollers are allowed; dogs are not permitted in the zoo.

Timing, awards and amenities
The 5K is chip timed; the 1 Mile and Kids Fun Run are not timed. Awards for the 5K will be given to the top three men and top three women overall. Participants receive a short-sleeved t-shirt (register by August 1 to receive a shirt on race day), post-race refreshments, and zoo admission for the day with a wristband collected at registration.
Registration, fees and policies
Registration opens April 29, 2026. Pre-registration fees are $35 for the 5K, $30 for the 1 Mile, and $15 for the Kids Fun Run. Race day fees are higher: $40 for the 5K, $35 for the 1 Mile, and $20 for the Kids Fun Run. Supporter wristbands cost $12 (cash or check); ages 2 and over require a wristband for zoo entry.
