Event Details

The Run for Rainbow event offers several activity options taking place at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The event supports University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital through its Foundation's Associate Board.

Distances

Participants can choose from several events:

A chip-timed 5K run/walk.
An untimed 1 Mile walk.
A Kids Fun Run covering 100 yards.
A Supporter Admission option for spectators.

Registration & Fees

Registration for the event includes all-day admission to the zoo. Early registration prices are available until August 12, 2026.

5K: $35 (early), $40 (on race day)
1 Mile Walk: $30 (early), $35 (on race day)
Kids Fun Run: $15 (early), $20 (on race day)
Supporter Wristband: $12

Participants receive a short-sleeved t-shirt if they register by August 1. Strollers are permitted at the event, but dogs are not allowed in the zoo. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women in the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
