Run for Rainbow: 5k and Walk
Run for Rainbow is a charity running and walking event on 08/15/2026 at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in Cleveland, OH. The event raises money and awareness for University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital through the Foundation Associate Board, a volunteer group focused on awareness, involvement and leadership development among young professionals.
Distances included:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
- Kids Fun Run - 100 yards
The 5K is chip timed; the 1 mile and kids fun run are not timed. Pre-registration is open from March 15, 2026 through August 12, 2026. Pre-registration fees are $35 for the 5K, $30 for the 1 mile, and $15 for the kids fun run. Race day fees are higher. Race fees include admission to the zoo for the day and participants receive a short-sleeved t-shirt and post-race refreshments. Registration by August 1 ensures a t-shirt on race day.
Supporter wristbands are available for $12 cash or check; supporters age 2 and over must purchase a wristband for zoo entry. Strollers are allowed and dogs are not permitted in the zoo. 5K awards will be given to the top three men and top three women overall. All entries are non-refundable and non-transferable.
