About the race
The Clarkston Family Farm event on 10/18/2026 is a community fundraiser that includes two timed running events and farm activities at 6800 Hubbard Road, Clarkston, MI.
Two races are offered:
- 5K
- 1 mile
Both races allow running or walking and welcome adults and children. The event uses timing chips for race results. Top racers in each age category receive prizes. Shirts and medals are provided; early registrants receive them on race day, while late registrants receive shirts and medals approximately three to five weeks after the event.
The event supports a nonprofit educational farm that aims to provide access to farm, garden, and learning spaces for children of all ages and abilities. Schools can compete for participation and fundraising awards: the school with the highest percentage participation (minimum 25 participants) receives a free family fun day at the farm valued over $2000 not including hayrides, and the school that raises the most donations (minimum $500) receives an on-site hands-on learning adventure. The learning adventure may include farm animals, planting activities, and nature crafts, and is scheduled as a 90 minute after school program January through March.
Additional onsite features include a Hog Jog with farm pigs, vendor booths, the farm market, animal viewing areas, gardens, and a hoop house. Parking is at the elementary school.
