City of Lakes Half Marathon
The City of Lakes Half Marathon is a long-standing running event in South Minneapolis with a history spanning over 60 years. The race takes place at Beard's Plaisance and follows a course along the parkways surrounding two prominent local bodies of water.
The route circles Lake Harriet and Bde Maka Ska, providing views of the lakes for both participants and spectators. The event is organized by Run Minnesota and serves as a central gathering for the Twin Cities running community.
