16th Annual City Manager's 5K Walk & Run
The City Manager's 5K Walk & Run is a community 5K event held at SeaWorld San Antonio on November 14, 2026. The event is presented as the 16th annual running of the City Manager's 5K and continues a tradition that began in 2007 as an employee wellness initiative; the first event brought together 561 employees and family members at Brackenridge Park. Over the years the event has moved to several San Antonio locations and has included virtual editions.
The event features a new course through SeaWorld San Antonio and a new Pre-K 4 SA Kids Zone. Participants who place in age groups receive medals for top finishers. Other on-site elements include music, mascots, and vendors, and discounted SeaWorld San Antonio tickets will be available to participants.
Registration options distinguish City of San Antonio employees and retirees, who register free with city identification, from community participants, who pay a registration fee. Registration includes event entry and chip timing. Packet pickup opportunities are scheduled in the days before the event at the D.R. Semmes Family YMCA at TriPoint, at City Tower, and at SeaWorld San Antonio for those who still need race packets or chipped bibs.
The event is open to all ages and mobility options, allows strollers and wheelchairs, will be held rain or shine, and does not offer refunds. Only service animals are permitted on site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
