Cinnamon Bun Run - Plano, Texas

The Cinnamon Bun Run is a winter road event held at the Red Tail Pavilion in Plano on Saturday, January 2, 2027. The event offers two measured distances and follows a route through Oak Point Park and the adjoining nature preserve. It is presented as the 2nd Annual Cinnamon Bun Run and benefits the nonprofit Patriot PAWS.

All in-person race participants receive a finisher medal, a tech shirt, and a custom bib, plus a complimentary cinnamon roll and coffee. A virtual option is offered for both distances; virtual participants receive a finisher medal, a tech shirt, and a generic bib. Virtual packets for the 2026 event were shipped approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the event date and were limited to the US continental mailing area.

The Cinnamon Bun Run has been included in AMPT’s multi-race series. Completing all six series events, either in person or virtually, qualified participants to receive an acrylic base for displaying the 2026 medal collection.

The event lists Patriot PAWS as its beneficiary. Patriot PAWS is a national nonprofit that trains and provides service dogs at no cost to veterans, first responders, and others living with mobility disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, or post-traumatic stress disorder.
