The Ciderthon
The Ciderthon is a running event scheduled for 18 July 2026 at Culden Faw, Henley on Thames, Oxon RG9 3AS. It features timed road races with cider sampling stations both along the route and at the finish. The event takes place across a weekend and includes an event village and campsite.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon - Longer distance with multiple cider tasters along the course.
- 5K - Shorter course with cider tasters along the route.
The event package includes multiple cider tasters, a buff, a finisher pint, a collapsible cup, a finisher medal and chip timing. Weekend programming also lists live music, an open air cinema, a Big Chilled BBQ in the cider village and additional music and DJ sets in the event village.
Practical information provided for attendees notes free on site parking, a shuttle service from Henley and campsite facilities. The organisers state they do not encourage children to stay on site for the weekend and that dogs are not allowed anywhere on site. There are vehicle movement restrictions during night periods, and the event site closes on the final morning of the weekend with all vehicles required to leave by that time.
