Oktoberfest Run for the Poor at Blessed Sacrament
The Church of the Blessed Sacrament's Oktoberfest Run for the Poor is scheduled in Wichita, Kansas on September 26, 2026. The event is held in conjunction with the parish Oktoberfest and takes place in the College Hill neighborhood, finishing within the Oktoberfest celebration area.
The event includes these distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Stein Holding 5K Division
- Stroller 5K Division
The course starts at Roosevelt and Circle Drive and finishes on Quentin and Douglas. The race is chip timed by Timer Guys. Winners in each division receive awards and overall winners receive prizes. Race swag includes a tech shirt. Runners receive a choice of brat or hot dog and beer for participants aged 21 and older.
Packet pickup is at the Blessed Sacrament School commons off Roosevelt Street north of the church; there is a parking lot and street parking available. Packet pickup is also available on race day at the school commons. Registration opens May 24, 2026 and follows the posted pricing windows. Pricing examples from the event notice include early and later registration tiers for each division, with higher fees for race day entry. Stein Holding division race day registration is limited to available steins.
