10th Annual Road Home Race
The Road Home Race is a fundraising event for Passageways that supports homeless veterans in finding stable housing. The event marks its tenth year of offering running and walking options and has added a 10K in recent years.
Race distance options include:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
All races start and finish at the Plum building inside Sedgwick County Park in Wichita, Kansas. The event is USATF certified and official timing is provided by the Timer Guys. Route maps and the full day schedule will be posted closer to the race date.
The event includes patriotic elements such as flags along portions of the route, a Presentation of Colors, and the Singing of the National Anthem before the start. Each race bib carries the name of a fallen service member, a currently serving military member, or a veteran; registrants may request a specific name for their bib. There are entries that allow a participant to sponsor another runner or walker, and a virtual runner option for participation from anywhere.
