Event Overview
The Back The Track 5K & Woodford Track Challenge is an event on Friday, August 14, 2026. It takes place at the Woodford County High School Outdoor Track in Versailles, Kentucky. The event raises funds for the Woodford County Track Club, which supports track and field programs in the public schools of Woodford County.
Distances
Participants can choose from the following events:
- 5K Run/Walk (timed)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (untimed)
- Virtual Runner/Walker
Course & Features
The 5K and 1-mile courses start and finish on the high school's track. The route is paved and goes through the school complex and the Falling Springs Bypass. Registered participants receive a commemorative unisex race shirt. Free race photos are provided.
Awards are given for the 5K run/walk. The top three overall male and female finishers receive awards, as do the top three male and female finishers in multiple 5-year age divisions. Packet pickup is held at the high school on the evening of the race.
Additional Activities
A Stick Horse Race for children aged 10 and under is held before the 5K. Each child participant receives a stick horse to keep. The event also includes music and food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
