Back The Track 5K Sponsored by O'Brien Ford and Prospect Lane Farm
The event is a community race day held at Woodford County High School outdoor track in Versailles, Kentucky on August 14, 2026. It includes a chip timed 5K run/walk on paved and track surfaces, an untimed 1-mile fun run/walk on the same surfaces, and a virtual runner/walker option for remote participation. Proceeds support the Woodford County Track Club, which supports track and field programs in Woodford County public schools.
Race features include commemorative unisex shirts (sizes XS to 3XL, while supplies last), free race photos, evening packet pickup at the high school, and an earlier packet pickup on August 13 at Midway Christian Church. The course runs through the school complex and along the Falling Springs Bypass. Food vendors listed for the event include The Wandering Dog and Tropic Shaved Ice.
Awards for the 5K recognize the Top 3 male and female overall finishers and the Top 3 male and female in 5-year age groups. A Stick Horse Race for children ages 10 and under is organized before the main event; each child receives a stick horse to keep.
