Christmas Town Dash
The Christmas Town Dash takes participants through a scenic route within Busch Gardens Williamsburg during the holiday season. The course allows runners and walkers to view the thematic displays and festive holiday decorations located inside the theme park.
The event offers varied distances to accommodate different types of participants:
- 8K running race
- 8K competitive race walk
- 880 Yards (Dasher 1/2 Mile)
The 8K competitive race walk category follows specific technical rules. Competitors in this division must maintain contact with the ground at all times. Additionally, the leading leg must be straightened when the foot makes contact with the ground and remain straight until the leg passes directly under the body.
Registered participants receive several items and benefits included with their entry. These consist of a long-sleeve technical running shirt and a custom finisher medal designed to function as a holiday tree ornament. Registration also includes a ticket for the 2026 Christmas Town event and a discounted single-day ticket for the spring 2027 season at Busch Gardens. The event features holiday-themed appearances, including opportunities for participants to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus near the course.
