Holiday Themed Running Event in Williamsburg
The Christmas Town Dash is an annual holiday event returning for its 17th year. Located at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, the race allows participants to tour the theme park's Christmas Town area. The course is designed to immerse runners in the sights and sounds of the holiday season, with Santa and Mrs. Claus appearing at the finish line.
The event features several distance options for different types of participants:
- 8K
- 8K Competitive Race Walker
- Dasher 1/2 Mile
The 8K course takes runners through the Busch Gardens campus. Participants in the 8K categories receive a registration package that includes a long-sleeve technical running shirt and a custom finisher medal designed to function as a Christmas tree ornament.
Registration for the 8K also includes a complimentary ticket to Christmas Town 2026 and a discounted single-day ticket to Busch Gardens for the Spring 2027 season. The event supports a local charitable cause, as participants have the option to donate to the United States Marines Toys for Tots program, which provides toys to families in need within the Hampton Roads area.
