The event starts and finishes from Scott Road at the Hammond Trailhead and is part of the White Mountain Endurance Cup. Event capacity is 250 runners and there is an approximate time limit of nine hours.

Course and logistics

The course is a lollipop-shaped loop with roughly 4,500 feet of elevation gain. Runners follow rolling singletrack to the Hammond Trail, ascend to the Liberty Trail junction, descend to an on-course aid station, then continue on to the Brook Trail and a loop over the 3,478 foot summit of Mount Chocorua. Trails include rocks, roots, boulders, steep ledges, and several rivers and brooks.

Aid points are located at roughly miles 6.0 and 10.0 (summit checkpoint), with the finish at about 14.2 miles. Mandatory gear, checked at bib pickup, includes at least 1 liter of fluids, 400 calories of food, a windbreaker or rain shell, and a space or emergency foil blanket. The event is cupless; participants must bring their own hydration system. No pacers are permitted, crew access is only at the start/finish, and on-course drop bags are not provided. Entrants should have completed a hilly, moderately technical trail race of at least 10 miles or have equivalent mountain experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
