Raiders Rumble : Fryeburg, ME
Raiders Rumble is the third annual community running and walking event held on June 20, 2026 in Fryeburg, Maine. The event includes a 5K run held on roads and the Fryeburg Academy grounds and a shorter walk organized as the Walk to End Polio. Both courses start in the athletic field between the track and the cemetery and finish with a counterclockwise lap on the track.
The 5K course proceeds through the center of Fryeburg Academy onto Bradley Street, Pine Street, Lovewell Pond Road and Ice House Road before returning to Pine Street, Bridgton Road and Main Street back to the academy track. Walkers follow a similar route but do not turn onto Lovewell Pond Road; they continue toward Bridgton Road and follow the described finish back to the track.
The 5K raises funds in support of the Fryeburg Academy Track and Field Programs. The walk supports the Fryeburg Area Rotary Club's polio eradication efforts; donations for the walk go to the Rotary Club and the academy cannot accept donations for that purpose.
Entry fee is listed at $25. Awards include first and second in each age division, overall first place men and women, top three walk finishers, and a Best Dressed Raider prize.
