The Raiders Rumble is a community 5K run and walk supporting Fryeburg Academy's track programs. Awards are given across many age groups, and a fun pirate costume contest adds to the event. The course starts and finishes on the academy grounds, touring the streets of Fryeburg.

Event Details

The Raiders Rumble is a 5K running and walking event held in Fryeburg, Maine. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Fryeburg Academy Track and Field Programs. The 2026 edition is the third annual event.

Participants can register for either a 5K Run or a 5K Walk. The event features awards for the top finishers. Awards are given for 1st and 2nd place in multiple age divisions, as well as for the 1st place overall male and female runners. The top three overall walkers receive ribbons. Age divisions span from 10 and under to 70 and over.

A pirate-themed costume element is encouraged, as participants are invited to dress like a "Raider". A special award is given for the Best Dressed Raider.

Course

The course begins on an athletic field between a track and a cemetery at Fryeburg Academy. It proceeds through the academy's center and onto local streets including Bradley Street, Pine Street, Lovewell Pond Road, and Ice House Road. The route returns via Pine Street to Bridgton Road and Main Street before re-entering the academy grounds. The finish is on the track, after a counter-clockwise lap.
