Chocolate Bunny 5K, Newark DE
The Chocolate Bunny 5K is scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Olan Thomas Park, 89 Paper Mill Road, Newark, DE 19711. This is the fourth annual edition of the event and the venue was changed to Olan Thomas Park.
The event distance is 5K. Runners receive a custom bib, a chocolate bunny, and post race snacks. Bib pick up and on-site registration take place on April 4 from 8:00 AM to 8:55 AM at Olan Thomas Park.
Awards are given for Overall Male and Female and Overall Male and Female Masters, with top three in each age group recognized. Age groups are 9 and under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Overall and Masters awards are based on gun time; age group awards are based on chip time. First place in each age group also receives Peeps.
The race lists the Friends of Fusion Foundation as its charity partner. Fusion Running Club members are eligible for a 20 percent registration discount once registration reaches full price. A course map is provided for directional purposes only.
The regular registration fee is $35 and $25 for ages 0 to 18. Price increases after April 3, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
