Chocolate and Coffee 5K Run
The Chocolate and Coffee 5K Run is scheduled for March 29, 2026 at Washington Middle School, 1101 Park Ave. SW, Albuquerque, NM. The event offers multiple distances and a children’s run.

Organized in partnership with the Southwest Chocolate & Coffee Fest, Blue River Productions, and Java Joes, the 5K uses a fast out-and-back course in the area around Washington Middle School next to Java Joes. Packet pickup and late registration occur the day before at Heart and Sole Sports.
All participants aged 14 and above receive an entry valued at $15 to the Southwest Coffee and Chocolate Festival on April 11 or 12, 2026, plus finish-line items including chocolate, coffee, and an event tee shirt. Water is provided along the 5K course and medical personnel and radio communications will be positioned at aid stations.
The 5K awards overall prizes to the top three men and women and age group prizes to the top three finishers in specified age categories. Official results and awards require use of the event timing device attached to the bib; bibs must be worn on the front and be visible. The RunFit Kids K is non-timed, provides t-shirts and finisher recognition for youth entrants, and parents may accompany children during that event.
