The event offers three races:
- 5K
- 5K (17 and under)
- KIDS K
Location and Date
The event takes place on Sunday, March 29, 2026. All races start and finish at Washington Middle School, located at 1101 Park Ave. SW in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Course and Format
The 5K course is described as a fast out-and-back route. The race uses a gun start with chip timing. Water is provided along the course. A course map is available online. The event has a time limit of 1 hour and 15 minutes for all participants.
Participant Information
Packet pickup is available on Saturday, March 28, at Heart and Sole Sports in Albuquerque. Race-day registration is also available. All participants receive a timing chip attached to their bib, which must be worn visibly on the front. Participants aged 14 and above receive an entry (valued at $15) to the 16th Annual Southwest Coffee and Chocolate Festival on April 11-12, 2026. All finishers receive goodies including chocolate, coffee, and an event t-shirt.
Policies and Amenities
Strollers and baby joggers are permitted but must start at the back of the pack. Dogs are allowed on a short, handheld leash (6 feet maximum). Medical support and portable toilets are available on-site. Parking is available at Washington Middle School and in the surrounding neighborhood. Results will be posted online after the event. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women, top Masters, and the top three finishers in numerous age groups for the 5K. All children who complete the Kids K receive a finisher award.
