Event overview
The Chocolate and Coffee 5K Run takes place on March 29, 2026 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The event is organized by RunFit in partnership with the Southwest Chocolate & Coffee Fest, Blue River Productions, and Java Joes. All races start and finish at Washington Middle School, 1101 Park Ave. SW, Albuquerque.

Course, entry and awards
The 5K is an out-and-back course in downtown near Washington Middle School. A MapMyRun route is available for the 5K. All participants age 14 and above receive a $15 entry to the Southwest Chocolate and Coffee Festival and finish-line items including chocolate, coffee, and an event t-shirt. Registration categories include an open 5K, a 5K category for ages 17 and under, and a non-timed RunFit Kids K for ages 11 and under; youth entrants receive t-shirts and finisher awards and parents may accompany children.
Electronic timing devices are assigned and attached to bibs; bibs must be worn on the front and are required to be eligible for official results and awards. Overall and age-group awards are given for the 5K by gun time, including overall top three men and women and standard age-group divisions. Water stations are provided along the 5K course.
