Event Overview

The Chirk 10k is a running event for participants of various ages and abilities. It takes place on Sunday, July 12th, 2026.

Location and Venue

The race headquarters is Caffi Wylfa. The start and finish line is on Station Road next to Caffi Wylfa.

The Route

The 10 km course goes on closed roads. It passes through the grounds of Chirk Castle and travels along country lanes with views. The route is described as having a blend of fast sections and inclines.

Participant Information

  • The minimum age for participants is 15 years old.
  • There is a race cut-off time of 90 minutes. Roads will reopen according to this pace, and runners falling behind may be asked to withdraw for safety reasons.
  • Event parking is at Kronospan (LL14 5NT), which is a 10-minute walk from the start/finish area.

What's Included

All finishers receive a medal, goodies, and a family pass for Chirk Castle (stated value £49). Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as across seven age categories for both genders.
