Chirk 10k Run
The Chirk 10k is a road running event scheduled for Sun 11th July 2027. The route covers 10 km around Chirk and includes sections on the grounds of Chirk Castle and nearby country lanes with a mix of faster stretches and inclines.
Race headquarters is at Caffi Wylfa and the start and finish are on Station Road next to the café. The event car park is at Kronospan in Chirk (LL14 5NT), about a ten minute walk from the start. Music and a help desk will be available near the start area.
Roads on the course will be fully closed for the safety of runners and volunteers; marshals will be in place and spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed. Spectators are suggested to watch the start and finish on Station Road and in the castle grounds. Residents should note road closures and plan movements accordingly.
All finishers receive a medal, event goodies and a family pass for Chirk Castle valued at £49. There are awards for the top three female and top three male finishers and age group prizes for seven male and seven female categories. The race has a cut off time of 90 minutes and the minimum age to enter is 15 years old.
