Chirk 10k Run

Chirk 10k is a community road race organised by Adrenaline Sporting Events and scheduled for 12 July 2026. The event brings together people who take part for fitness, competition, charity, health, fun or to complete a timed 10 kilometre run.

Race headquarters is at Caffi Wylfa and the start and finish are on Station Road next to Caffi Wylfa. The designated event car park is at Kronospan in Chirk, Wrexham LL14 5NT, about a ten minute walk from the start area. The start and finish are a short walk from the car park and the event will provide music and a help desk near the finish area.

The route passes through the grounds of Chirk Castle and nearby country lanes, combining fast sections with uphill stretches. All finishers receive a medal, event goodies and a family pass for Chirk Castle valued at £49. Prizes include awards for the first three male and first three female finishers plus seven age group awards for both male and female. The event charity partner is The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital.

For safety the race runs on fully closed roads with marshals in place. Spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed and to follow marshal instructions. The race has a 90 minute course cut off and runners who fall behind this pace may be asked to withdraw. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
