Event overview

Chirk 10k is a 10 kilometre road race organised by Adrenaline Sporting Events on 12 July 2026 in Chirk. Race headquarters is at Caffi Wylfa and the start and finish are on Station Road next to Caffi Wylfa. The event has a minimum age limit of 15 years and a race cut-off time of 90 minutes. Roads on the route will be fully closed for safety during the race; closures will be temporary and will re-open in line with the organisers' schedule.

Course, facilities and entries

The course passes the grounds of Chirk Castle and runs on nearby country lanes, combining faster sections with uphill sections. All finishers receive a medal, event goodies and a family pass for Chirk Castle stated to be worth £49. Prizes include awards for the top three male and top three female finishers and seven age-group awards for each gender. The charity partner for the event is The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital. Event facilities include a help desk and music at the start/finish area. Parking is provided at Kronospan in Chirk, reported to be about a ten-minute walk from the start/finish. Spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed, with suggested viewing on Station Road and in the castle grounds.
