Event overview
The Chirk 10k Run is a 10k road race organised by Adrenaline Sporting Events, scheduled for 12 July 2026. The event route passes the grounds of Chirk Castle and uses nearby country lanes. The course includes a mix of faster sections and uphill sections and offers views of the surrounding countryside. The race has a 90 minute cut off time and the minimum age for entry is 15 years.
Logistics and race day information
Race headquarters is at Caffi Wylfa and the start and finish are on Station Road next to Caffi Wylfa. Event parking is provided at Kronospan (LL14 5NT), about a ten minute walk from the start/finish. Roads on the route will be fully closed for safety; spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed and are advised to watch from Station Road and the castle grounds. Roads will re-open in line with race progress and runners who fall behind the event pace may be asked to withdraw.
All finishers receive a medal, goodies and a family pass for Chirk Castle valued at £49. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers, plus seven age-group awards for each sex. The event charity partner is The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital. A help desk and event music will be available at the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
