Event overview
The China Camp Trail Run takes place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at China Camp State Park in San Rafael, CA (800 N San Pedro Rd). The event offers three distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The event has a total capacity of 275 runners across all distances. Registration closes May 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. Check-in and bib pickup are scheduled for the morning of the race.
Course and logistics
The course uses single-track and open trails through China Camp State Park with climbs, descents, forested sections, and views of Mount Tamalpais, San Pablo Bay, and San Francisco Bay. Parking is free; participants are asked to park along N. San Pedro Rd at the entrance to Miwok Meadows and walk up a dirt access road to the start/finish area. Carpooling is encouraged.
Aid stations, shirts, and awards
Aid stations will provide a variety of food and drink items such as gels, chews, trail mix, chips, cola, water, electrolyte mix, fruit, and PB&J. Runners are encouraged to carry at least one 20 oz bottle during the race. Race shirts are a District Perfect-Tri tri-blend tee with UPF 30; guaranteed sizes require registration by May 9, 2026. All finishers receive a custom medal. Top three overall finishers (male and female) in each distance receive a custom trophy; age-group medals (3 deep) are awarded in specified categories, including non-binary.
