Event Overview

The Quest of the White Wolf features three race distances: a 50K, a 25K, and a 10K. All races are scheduled for the same day.

Race Details

The course is described as a scenic out-and-back route. It starts at a shelter and follows the Four Seasons Trail to a set of stairs. Participants run to the bottom of a waterfall before turning around and heading toward an observation deck parking lot. From there, runners ascend a series of stairs. The course includes approximately 1,000 stairs in one direction, leading to the top of the waterfall before returning the same way to the start/finish line. Course markings will be red ribbon and yellow arrows.

The elevation gain per loop is listed as 1,883 feet.

Participant Information

Bibs must be worn on the front and remain visible throughout the race. Trekking poles are not allowed. The event notes that weather can vary, with potential for rain and fog. Both runners and walkers are welcome, provided they finish within the time limit. Dogs and strollers are not allowed on the course.

Aid and Logistics

A single aid station will be available, stocked with basic food items like pickles, cereal, pretzels, candy, fruit, and bacon. Hydration includes water, Tailwind, and a variety of sodas. First aid supplies will also be present. Participants who need to drop out of the race are asked to notify staff.

Post-Race

Finishers receive a handmade pottery medal from BlueGill Pottery, with each medal being unique. Race results will be posted on Ultrasignup.com. Photos will be available approximately one week after the event. The organizer encourages sharing photos on Instagram using the hashtags #coldrock50k and #dirtywolfracing.
