Quest of the White Wolf : Lake Lure, NC (January 9, 2027)
Quest of the White Wolf is a multi-distance trail event held at Lake Lure, North Carolina. Distances offered include:
- 50 Mile
- 50K
- 25 Mile
- 25K
- 10K
- 5K
The course is marked with orange and reflective ribbon and yellow arrows. Organizers report an elevation gain per loop of 7,000K. A packet pickup is available the day before the race. Runners must wear bibs visibly on the front of shirt or shorts; trekking poles are permitted. Weather can vary and conditions may include rain and fog.
Aid station provisions include basic food items such as pickles, cereal, pretzels, candy, fruit, and bacon. Hydration options include water, Tailwind, and a variety of sodas. First aid supplies will be available at the aid station. The event uses a 25 hour cutoff for finishing the race.
Finisher medals are handmade pottery by BlueGill Pottery; each medal is unique. The event is private and unregistered participants are not allowed. Dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course except by special exception. Entry fees are non refundable if the event is canceled; deferral is available by contacting the race director.
