Event overview
The Chilly Willy Duathlon takes place on February 15, 2026, at Fort De Soto, 3500 Pinellas Bayway South, St. Petersburg, FL. The event is USAT sanctioned and will include sprint and long distance formats, relay divisions, and military divisions for active or retired service members. The event is limited to 500 entries.
Race format and awards

- Run 1 mile • Bike 10 miles • Run 3.1 miles (sprint)
- Run 3.1 miles • Bike 19 miles • Run 3.1 miles (long)
The race is chip-timed with segment splits. All finishers receive a medal and a custom Chilly Willy T-shirt. Age group awards are given 1st through 4th for male and female categories from 19 & under up to 80+. Special awards are provided for Masters and older age classes (40+, 50+, 60+, 70+), and there are overall 1st place awards for male and female in both long and sprint events.
Logistics and services
Package pickup is available Saturday, February 14, 2026, at PlayTri St. Petersburg, 2132 Central Ave. The long course has a strict cutoff: all bikers must be off the road by 9:00 am, and athletes who cannot meet that cutoff are advised to enter the short course. Food and post-race refreshments are provided, and the organizer reserves the right to cancel or move the race for inclement weather or emergencies without refund.
