Event overview
The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Dash and Bash takes place on May 16, 2026, at the University of Florida, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium North Lawn (157 Gale Lemerand Dr., Gainesville, FL 32611). The event includes a 5K (3.1 miles) course around the university that passes UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, and a post-race bash with entertainment, activities, community safety partners, and cheer zones along the route. The event supports pediatric trauma services at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital; funds raised are intended to help purchase equipment, support research, and fund related programs.
Logistics and policies
All participants are timed with a custom chip; personal chips are not permitted and official times require the provided chip. Awards are given to the top male, female, and non-binary finishers in these age groups: 10 & under, 11-13, 14-18, 19-24, 25-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65, 66+. Pre-race packet pick-up is at UF Health Professional Park, 3300 SW Williston Rd., Room B107 on the days before the event; day-of packet pick-up is also available. Parking is available at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center parking lot and garage. The entry fee is listed as $25 and increases after January 2, 2026. Other notes: the course has uphill and downhill sections, medical staff will be available at start and finish, dogs are not allowed, strollers are permitted, the event is rain or shine, and the race has a no-refund and no-transfer policy.
