Child Advocacy Center at BestSelf 5K & Fun Walk
The 5th Annual Child Advocacy Center at BestSelf event takes place in Delaware Park, Buffalo. This community gathering offers participants a choice between a running event and a walking event held within the park grounds. Both courses utilize the same starting line location situated near the Buffalo Zoo parking lot.
The event features the following distances:
- 5 km run
- 1.3 mile family fun walk
- 5 km virtual race entry
The 1.3 mile walk is open to families and permits both strollers and dogs. The 5 km run is a separate event where strollers and dogs are not permitted. Participants registered for the virtual race can complete their distance at any location and time during the months of April or May, with the option to track their progress via a mobile application.
Registration and check-in are located at the Parkside Lodge, which is approximately a five-minute walk from the starting line. All participants receive a custom finisher medal. Trophies are awarded to the top overall male and female finishers in the 5 km run. Following the events, a celebration is held at the Parkside Lodge featuring refreshments, including donuts and beer for participants.
