Event overview
DENFIT ULTRA takes place Saturday May 2 to Sunday May 3, 2026, at Buffalo Ski Center, 7414 State Rd, Colden, NY. The event offers two race distances:
- 50k
- 100k
Entry fees listed on the event page are $107 for the 50k (includes a $7 fee) and $128.20 for the 100k (includes an $8.20 fee). Prices increase after December 31, 2025.
Course and logistics
The course is a 10 km loop that runs up and down the ski slopes. The 50k is five laps of the loop and the 100k is ten laps. The course will not be lit; reflective flagging and lawn flags will mark the route. Headlamps are mandatory and required while the course is unlit. At the base of the ski hills there will be a large tent area with food, bathrooms and a gear area; multiple tents will be available at basecamp and rules on personal tents are to be confirmed.
The 100k has an 18-hour completion window and the 50k has a 10-hour completion window. Finisher medals are stated to be at least 7 inches in size. Top ten male and female finishers in each event receive a custom special-edition spear, and the top three male and female finishers receive additional prizes. The course includes significant elevation and possible natural obstacles such as low branches or fallen trees; venue staff indicated there may still be snow at the top of the hills.
