Chichester Harbour Trail Run : West Sussex
The Chichester Harbour Trail Run follows coastal and inland trails around the Chidham Peninsula within Chichester Harbour, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route offers open harbour views toward Bosham Hoe, Itchenor, East Head and the South Downs, and includes quiet trails, wide runnable paths and sections of wildlife-rich scenery.
At low tide the course includes a short stretch across the foreshore. The terrain is described as mostly flat with gentle, rolling sections and generally good footing throughout. The event offers a canicross category alongside the regular runner entries and permits one dog per runner under the stated dog guidelines.
Two distances are available:
- 21.3k Half Marathon 65 m elevation gain
- 16.1k Trail Run 50 m elevation gain
Entries are chip timed. Participant provisions listed for the event include a high-quality metal finisher medal, a finisher goodie and drink, a personalised certificate, on-course refreshments and water stations, first aid cover and marshals.
