Chichester Harbour Trail Run
The event is a coastal trail run around the Chidham Peninsula on the edge of Chichester Harbour, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route follows harbour-side paths and quiet trails with long-reaching vistas towards Bosham Hoe, Itchenor, East Head, and the South Downs.
The course features wildlife-rich scenery and at low tide a short foreshore crossing. Organisers describe the route as flat and friendly and suitable for early-season running. Two distance options are offered:
- 21.3k (Half Marathon)
- 16.1k (Medium distance)
Entries are chip timed. Participants receive a high-quality metal finisher medal, a refreshment and finisher's goodies, and a personalised certificate. The event provides first aid cover, on-course refreshments and water stations, and friendly marshals. Bib numbers are collected on arrival at registration.
The event operates a plastic-free policy; participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle for use at water stations. The course is signed using pink arrows and pink tape, and hazards or road junctions are marked with 'Caution' signs.
Canicross entries are available and one dog per runner is permitted. Organisers advise canicross participants to bring poo bags, water, treats, and an appropriate dog lead. Spectators are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
