Chichester Harbour Trail Run
The Chichester Harbour Trail Run is a coastal trail event around the Chidham Peninsula in Chichester Harbour, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route follows quiet harbour-side paths and coastal trails and offers long-reaching vistas across the harbour.
Runners pass views towards Bosham Hoe, Itchenor, East Head, and the South Downs. At low tide the course includes a short stretch across the foreshore. The route has modest elevation gain and is described as flat and friendly.
Distances
- 21.3k Half Marathon, 65m elevation
- 16.1k, 50m elevation
The event is chip timed and the organiser provides a high-quality metal finisher medal, a refreshing drink, a finisher's goodie, and a personalised certificate. On-course support includes water stations, course marshals, first aid cover, and an event photographer. The route is fully signed with pink arrows and pink tape; hazards and road junctions are marked with 'Caution' signs. One dog per runner is permitted and there are canicross entries for the same distances. The event operates a plastic-free policy, so runners are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. Runners collect their race bib on arrival and should bring their QR code for registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
