AJ Bell Great South Run : Portsmouth, 10 Mile event
The AJ Bell Great South Run is a timed 10 mile road race held in Portsmouth along the seafront. The course starts and finishes on the north end of Avenue De Caen and follows a largely flat route with coastal views. The route passes local landmarks, including a section near HMS Victory, and features music and spectator support along the way.
Race numbers include timing chips and are posted out from about four weeks before the event; late or overseas entries must collect numbers from the information point. Baggage buses are provided on Castle Field; runners must attach the provided baggage label and use their race number to collect bags at the finish. Waves are allocated from estimated times; runners may move to a slower wave by assembling with that wave on race day but cannot move to a faster wave.
Event services include a free event tracking app for live tracking and split times, official event day photos available to view and purchase, free ten-mile training plans and guidance, and a range of runner discounts from partners. Finishers receive a medal and may opt to purchase a finisher’s t-shirt and a finisher’s bag. The minimum entry age is 16.
