AJ Bell Great South Run
The AJ Bell Great South Run is a 10-mile road race in Portsmouth scheduled for 18 October 2026. The course starts and finishes on the north end of Avenue De Caen and runs along the seafront, with views of local landmarks including HMS Victory. The route is described as fairly flat.
Event entries are for people aged 16 and over on the day. Race numbers include the timing chip and are posted 1–2 weeks before the event; late or overseas entries must collect numbers from the information point. Waves are allocated by estimated time; runners may move to a slower wave on the day but may not move to a faster wave.
On race day there are baggage buses located in a marquee on Castle Field. Photography, filming and streaming are restricted within the naval base. Event features include a finisher medal, an optional finisher t-shirt (with an option to swap the tee for a charity donation), a finisher’s bag, and official event photos available for purchase. The event offers a free event-day tracking app and free 10-mile training plans.
