AJ Bell Great South Run
The AJ Bell Great South Run is a 10 mile road race in Portsmouth scheduled for 18 October 2026. The course starts and finishes on the north end of Avenue De Caen and runs along the seafront, passing local landmarks including HMS Victory. The route is described as fairly flat and fast and offers sea views and roadside music and entertainment.
Event logistics include a personal race number that contains the timing chip and is sent approximately four weeks before the race; late or overseas entries must collect numbers from the event information point. Baggage buses operate from a marquee on Castle Field and bags are collected after the race using the race number. Event day tracking and results are available via the official app, and official event photos are published for viewing and purchase. Finishers receive a medal, an exclusive finishers t shirt and a finisher bag. Free training plans and event support are provided in the lead up to the race. Participants in the 10 mile event must be aged 16 or over on the day. A booking fee of £3.00 per entry is applied at checkout.
