AJ Bell Great South 5k : 17 October 2026
The AJ Bell Great South 5k takes place on Saturday 17 October 2026 as part of the AJ Bell Great South Run weekend in the Portsmouth area. The event is a measured 5-kilometre run along the seafront offering views across the Solent and stretches of coastal running.
The published course starts on Clarence Esplanade, continues through Southsea Common onto Serpentine Road, follows Lady’s Mile, moves onto Jack Cockerill Way and South Parade, then runs along Eastney Esplanade to a U-turn point before returning to Clarence Esplanade for the finish. The course is subject to change.
Event services and features include a bespoke Great South 5k medal, an optional event tee and a finisher’s pack. Runners receive a personalised race number, and official event day photos are available to view and purchase. Music and entertainment are present on the route and organisers offer access to exclusive runner discounts via the Great Run Rewards platform. Free training plans and support are provided, including a 12-week 5k training plan.
Entry details listed for 5k entries include saver and final prices and a booking fee applied at checkout. Participants must be aged 14 or over on the event day. Runners who choose not to take a finisher tee contribute to a donation to the National Trust Woodlands Appeal, with an approximate donation commitment noted by the organisers.
