AJ Bell Great South 5k - 17 October 2026
The AJ Bell Great South 5k takes place as part of the AJ Bell Great South Run weekend in Portsmouth. The course follows a coastal route with views across the Solent, starting and finishing on Clarence Esplanade and passing Southsea Common, Serpentine Road, Lady’s Mile, Jack Cockerill Way, South Parade and Eastney Esplanade, with a U-turn point before the Coffee Cup. The course is subject to change.
Entry is open to participants aged 14 and over on the event day. Standard entry fees and a booking fee apply; a final-entry fee tier is also listed. Event facilities include an event site with an information point, baggage provisions and on-course music and entertainment.
Participants are offered an event medal, a finisher’s bag and an optional event t-shirt. Runners who choose not to receive a finisher t-shirt at entry will trigger a donation from a portion of fulfilment costs to the National Trust Woodlands Appeal; organisers state a commitment of approximately £20,000 to that fund. Additional services include official event-day photos for purchase, a personalised race number, access to exclusive runner discounts via the event rewards platform, and free training plans and support up to the event day.
