Event overview
The Chi Town Turkey Trot takes place in Chicago on November 27, 2025. The event offers chip-timed race options on the Chicago Lakefront Trail and adjacent sidewalks. Runners and walkers may choose between course distances and there is a kids dash. The event includes a commemorative finisher medal and event gear choices (long sleeve t-shirt or fleece pullover). Do-Rite Donuts will be available at the finish area, and beer (21+) and hot apple cider will be offered post-race.

The courses are entirely on the Lakefront Trail and sidewalks. Toilets are located at the start/finish area. The race uses timing chips integrated with bib numbers. Course time limits are provided for each distance. Packet options include mailed packets, pre-event pickup at Fleet Feet in Chicago, or pickup at the event site. A gear check will be available on site. Water stations provide water. Strollers are allowed for walkers and joggers only and must start at the back of the corrals; dogs are not allowed. A virtual category is available and virtual packets are mailed after race day. Results, photos, and awards are posted after the event; top three male and female finishers are awarded in each age group.
