5k Fun Run at Une Année / Hubbard's Cave
The Illinois Brewery Running Series presents a 5k event in Niles, Illinois. This untimed fun run is held in partnership with Une Année / Hubbard's Cave Brewery & Barbecue. Participants can choose to run, walk, or jog the course, which is designed to start and end at the taproom.
The route is an open course, meaning participants move through the surrounding neighborhood on public sidewalks and roads that remain open to traffic. The organizers mark the route clearly to guide participants through the scenic local area. Registration is open to all ages and experience levels, though participants who wish to consume alcoholic beverages must provide a valid ID.
Participants receive several items with their registration:
- 5 km untimed course access
- One craft beverage from the brewery (non-alcoholic options available)
- A choice of collector's glassware or seasonal swag
- Entry into prize drawings for brewery and series merchandise
The event features a post-run celebration at the brewery including music, games, and giveaways. Dogs and strollers are permitted on the course, provided participants follow the specific policies of the brewery venue. A portion of the proceeds from the event is donated to local non-profit organizations.
