About the race
The Chernisky Ghost Town Trail-a-thon is a multi-distance trail running event and casual group bicycle ride held at Duman Lake County Park in Ebensburg, PA. The course uses the Ghost Town Trail, the C & I Extension, and a recently constructed connector trail to Duman Lake County Park. Transportation is provided from the finish area to the starting points for the marathon and 15 mile courses.

The foot races and bike ride finish at Duman Lake County Park. The marathon and 15 mile start at separate locations along the trail system and include the C & I Trail extension. The 5k is an out-and-back on crushed gravel and some pavement with a few minor climbs. The bicycle route follows trail surface that includes a single track section near the park; organizers recommend bike tires suitable for roots and rocks.
Aid and amenities include four full aid stations and three water only stations placed along the marathon course, multiple ADA compliant restrooms, day-of packet pickup options, a commemorative long sleeve shirt for pre-registrants, finishers medals for all finishers, and top three awards male and female for the marathon, 15 mile and 5k. An Athletes with Disabilities division is offered for the 5k with specific non-motorized equipment and guide restrictions.
