The Festivus For The Rest Of Us 5k takes place on December 14, 2025 in New Florence, PA, with the event base at the New Florence Fire Hall, 177 13th St. The event includes these distances:

All proceeds benefit the New Florence Volunteer Fire Company. Packet pickup is the morning of the race at the fire hall. The race uses gun timing with chip timing at the bib and results posted online.
Course, logistics and rules
The certified course is exactly 3.10 miles. The route starts near the former ambulance garage beside the fire hall, follows local streets including a short section on Route 711, passes the Laurel Hill Iron Furnace and the state gamelands, includes a marked turnaround, and returns to finish near the start. There is one water stop at about the 1.45 mile mark with a trash receptacle. Roads are not fully closed; minimal traffic control will be provided.
Awards are given to top 3 men and women overall and top 3 in each age group for both run and walk (age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). Children 10 and under must complete the course under their own power to be eligible for awards. Pets are permitted on course under leash and control rules.
