The Festivus For The Rest Of Us 5k is a community 5K run and walk held in New Florence, Pennsylvania on December 13, 2026. The event benefits the New Florence Volunteer Fire Company and is in its sixth year.

Registration opens January 10, 2026. Pricing is $20 until November 15 at 6pm, then $25 until registration closes, with a higher day-of fee. Children 10 and under register free until registration closes; day-of child entry is $10. T-shirts are a $10 add-on with a firm order deadline of November 15 at 6pm; shirts must be picked up at the event.
The course starts at the fire hall area and follows a measured 3.10 mile route that passes Laurel Hill Iron Furnace and state gamelands. The organizer reports a net gain in the first half and a net decline in the second half. One water stop is located near the furnace at about mile 1.45; runners will pass it twice on the out-and-back. Traffic is not fully closed; traffic control will be provided at crossing points and participants are advised to be cautious.
Timing uses chips with online results; bibs should be worn on the front for proper reading. Awards are given to top finishers overall and by age group for the run and walk divisions; awards are not mailed. The event enforces rules on supervised children, pets on leash, no smoking or alcohol in event areas, no refunds, and a race time limit of 1 hour 5 minutes.
