Chelmsford Marathon & Half Marathon
The Chelmsford Marathon & Half Marathon is a road running event held in Central Park, Chelmsford, Essex. The courses are accurately measured and are often used for good for age qualifying. Both routes are undulating and run through the tree lined avenues of Central Park and out onto rural country lanes.
The event supports Little Havens Children's Hospice and includes a Havens Heroes entry option that adds a charitable donation. In 2025 the race raised £53,082.82 for Little Havens. The organisers partner with the Carli Lansley Foundation to offer free heart screening for younger runners.
Key event features include a Racecheck Silver Award, pacers for both distances subject to availability, bespoke medals, trophies and prizes for leading runners, and a well appointed event village. Detailed route maps and downloadable GPX files are available. There is a six hour course cut off. Central Park is less than half a mile from Chelmsford Railway Station.
