About the race
Chelmsford Marathon & Half Marathon takes place in Central Park, Chelmsford, Essex, and offers two road races: a marathon and a half marathon. The undulating courses wind through tree-lined avenues in Central Park before heading onto rural country lanes. It’s an award-winning event sponsored by Beaulieu, Countryside, and L&Q, renowned for its great course, lively race-day atmosphere, enthusiastic marshals, and a well-equipped event village.
Both routes are accurately measured and frequently used for age-qualifying events; pacers are available for both distances. The race supports Little Havens Children’s Hospice, with optional Havens Heroes donations. Includes a bespoke medal, trophies, and on-site facilities.
