Event details
The Chelmsford Marathon and Half Marathon takes place on 11 October 2026 in Central Park, Chelmsford, Essex (CM2 0FQ). The event is organised to raise funds for Little Havens Children’s Hospice. Entry options include standard and Havens Heroes tickets, with different price brackets shown for each distance. The half marathon is open to entrants aged 17 and over on the race date, and the marathon is open to entrants aged 18 and over. There is a six hour cut off for the marathon distance.
Course and race information
Both the marathon and half marathon are accurately measured, undulating road courses that run through the tree-lined avenues of Central Park and onto rural country lanes. The event offers route maps and GPX files for download. Race features listed by the organiser include pacers for both distances (subject to availability), marshals, an event village, bespoke medals, and trophies and prizes for leading runners. The race has a Racecheck Silver Award and includes a free heart screening for younger runners provided in partnership with the Carli Lansley Foundation.
