Chelmsford Marathon & Half Marathon
Chelmsford Marathon & Half Marathon is scheduled for 11 October 2026 at Central Park, Chelmsford, Essex. The event offers two road race distances that start and finish from the park and run partly through tree-lined avenues and onto nearby rural country lanes.
The event is described as award winning and popular with runners. Both the marathon and half marathon are accurately measured and are often used for good-for-age qualifying. Both courses are undulating. A six hour race cut off applies; participants who expect to take longer should contact the organiser in advance.

The race is a major fundraising event for Little Havens Children’s Hospice. In 2025 participants helped to raise £53,082.82 for the hospice. A HAVENS HEROES ticket includes a £16 donation to Little Havens. The event also partners with the Carli Lansley Foundation to offer free heart screening for younger runners.
